It is created by Rob Poulos. He also created the Zero to Hero Fitness Program a while ago, you may have heard of it.
It had sound advice and was a good manual, but was not as revolutionary.
Rob Poulos knows his stuff and shares it in a way anybody can understand, you do not have to be a fitness pro or have excercised strength training before.
Again, I am going to lay out facts and not hype. This program DOES require effort.
The Fat Burning Furnace program is divided into three parts. Introduction – where he explains why he believe and teach the way he does. The Exercise ideas and program. Finally, information on proper nutrition.
As far as the soundness of this method, I must say that it makes more sense to me than almost everything else that is out there. There ARE other good programs, but they are rare, most of what is taught will not help you longterm. I will explain why here. It is a bit long to read, but please hang on, it is interesting.
Did you know that a heavier person’s metabolism is most likely running faster than a lighter person’s metabolism? I bet you did not, it is not something that is widely publicized, especially by the purveyors of the latest diet fads. A heavier person’s body has to work harder to sustain itself than a lighter person’s body, so the metabolism of the heavier person is typically elevated.
Why is this important to know if you are trying to lose fat, and why do not the diet pushers want you to know this?
Well, most diets call for cutting calories and various essential foods. If a heavier person goes on a typical diet, they will lose weight fast because their metabolism is running higher than the average person’s metabolic rate. Sounds good, and it fools you into thinking that the diet is going to continue to work, but…
…there are two big problems here:
1. After the initial period of weight drop, it will become increasingly difficult to lose more weight because you are going to have to keep lowering your maintenance level of calories to lose more weight. And when you do this, you are just continuing to lower your metabolic rate, or your efficiency to use your food as fuel. And if you start to eat any bit above that new lowered maintenance level, you will gain that weight back, and fast.
2. That initial fast weight loss is almost always a combination of fat and lean muscle tissue. And if you lose lean muscle tissue, you are automatically lowering that metabolism even more.
So the end result is that you have lost a few pounds of fat and muscle, and you have now got a slower metabolism. Do you think that is going to help you get lean, strong, and healthy for life?

The Good and Bad of it all…
Well, that was some of the Good part above. Like he has done before, he really delivers on the science behind his ideas. And when followed, his ideas WORK.
Here comes the Bad:
If you want an easy method to losing weight, then do not bother. You have to work hard at the program. If you are a couch potato, and you want to keep being a couch potato, this is not for you. If you would rather pop a magic diet pill, this is not for you. Because you have to make this your lifestyle, short and simple.
I will not sugarcoat this. It is work and it is hard work. But if you do put in the work required, your fat WILL fall off, inch by inch, sometimes as much as 2 inches a month. But, you have to be determined.

My final thoughts…
This product is not for everyone. The average couch potato is not going to suddenly get six pack abs with this. Especially not by downloading, skim it over and put it on the shelf (or your hard drive).

OR, if you really want to change your sedentary lifstyle and are GOING TO STICK THROUGH, and actually follow the advice and make them habits, this is the path to your dream body. Period.
